Ryan's first trip out of the country! Ryan wasn't feeling well and spent most of the travels sleeping. We arrived in Petrozavodsk early in the morning (on the overnight train). Irena took us to see Korbin right away... but he was asleep in a stroller outside (so the kids can get some fresh air). We pushed the buggy around a bit (and tried to wake him up), but were asked to come back later. Korbin tugged on my camera strap and gave us a beautiful crooked smile! As we walked away, he sat up and looked at us!!! So cute. We came back a few hours later to see him in his adorable pink outfit (pictured above).

One year later... our little cheese-ball!
Korbin still smiles at us! LOL. He's very active and loves being around people. He's doing very well with his speech therapy. The case workers are very impressed with his progress and keep telling us he is a very smart boy (since he creates his own signs to communicate with us). He imitates sounds we make and is starting to ask for "millll" instead of the sign for drink.
We also met with a nutritionist to see if we can pack on some more weight. She gave us a few pointers (like adding half and half to his milk and giving him dips). She also said that he is very healthy and we are doing a great job! Good to hear. :)
