These two photos were taken before the weekend began.... isn't Korbin cute. I think he's getting used to the camera! hahaKorbin and Ryan left for the cabin on Friday evening. I helped them pack everything they needed and waved as they drove out of the parking lot.
Ryan said that they had a great time and that Korbin was in a good mood all weekend. Korbin spent some time with Gramma, Grandpa Burke and Aunt Katie. Ryan and Grandpa Burke also worked on a few projects around the cabin while Gramma and Aunt Katie entertained Korbin (or was it the other way around?!).
On Sunday, the two of them stopped in Waco to visit some friends. Apparently they have a lot of toys in their house... I was told that Korbin was really excited and into everything at their house.
My weekend was great, too. On Friday I had 3 friends visit, two of which I hadn't seen in 7 years (Sarah Pennington, Krista Blair and Lisa McCollum, friends from Heidelberg, Germany)! We had a few awkward silences and tried to come up with things to talk about ... until we had a few drinks in us. Then, suddenly things were more comfortable. :) We went downtown Austin to the bar district on 6th Street. We had a cab drop us off (by the way finding a cab was a real pain) that way we wouldn't have to worry about parking and could enjoy ourselves (if you know what I mean! haha). Anyway, we had a fantastic time. We drank and danced the night away. Got home at 3:30am and were in bed by 4:30am. Nice. :)The next night I went down to San Antonio to hang out with some college friends. We went out to dinner and watched a few movies. It was a very relaxing night. I slept in and drove home the next morning.
We all had a good weekend ... (just not together) :)
Side Note: We rented "Dan in Real Life" last night. What a great movie!!!
