Last night we helped Auntie M (my sister Amy), Uncle Toby (her fiance) and Aiden (my nephew) move into their apartment across the parking lot from us. They had a HUGE fiasco with the moving company... wow, they really have a great scam going... and unfortunatly, Amy and Toby got to be their most recent victims. One example is when the truck pulled up (3 hours late) and demanded $150 CASH to move their stuff up the three flights of stairs. Cash only. They were furious, since they'd already paid the movers a large sum to move them from Chicago to here.

Shouldn't the unloading be included?! Stupid. After refusing to pay the cash, the movers just dumped their stuff at the curb and drove away. Nice. (Note: Get EVERYTHING in writing from your moving company. Make sure the contract clearly states what is included in the price!!!)
On a lighter note, we a had a nice 3 day weekend. Ryan had Monday off. He took Korbin to Goin' Bananas indoor playnasium. Afterwards they headed to Chic Fil' A and then Best Buy. The two of them had a great time. I stayed home and worked on my portfolio and lesson plan samples for the interview I had on Tuesday.

That night we (my sister's family and ours) had a BBQ outside with Grandpa. We grilled up some burgers and hotdogs and enjoyed sitting in the shade. Korbin got to blow some bubbles and run around in the large grassy courtyard behind our apartment building.
I guess now we can say that we know our neighbors (really well). And, we'll have someone to wave at as we go to get the mail. I'm sure Korbin will love having a cousin close-by. Hopefully, they'll be friends when they get a little older (and Aiden can play).
