Free Swim

We have no more privacy in our household.
Korbin has figured out that something happens behind closed doors
and is very curious about what that something is! He even checked
out Amy in the dressing room at the store the other day (I wouldn't let
him check under the other doors).

Yesterday was another day of "firsts" for little Korbin. My sister Amy asked us to meet her at the pool with her son, Aiden. He's 4 months old and had never been in a pool, either. Nervous about how Korbin would react to the large body of water without being able to touch the bottom, I asked Ryan to hurry home from work to join us (he got there 10 minutes after we got wet).

Korbin did really well. He didn't like the water, at first. He clung to me and didn't want to sit in the floaty thing that I brought. But, no crying (unlike poor little Aiden who thought swimming was a terrible idea!). By the time Ryan arrived at the pool, Korbin was getting used to the water and even sat in the floaty thing while Ryan pushed him around. He even splashed us a little and laughed. :)

Also, it was my first time in a bikini since our honeymoon! I was nervous, but then reminded myself that I've lost almost 20 pounds! I wore it proudly! :) I'm not even that embarrassed to add a photo of myself! (well, maybe I hesitated a little) :) I look pretty good! haha

Around 6:15pm, Ryan and I left to go see the new Narnia movie at the Alamo Drafthouse. It was the first time we left Korbin to be put to bed by someone else. Amy said that he did really well until he realized that she was the one putting him to bed. He sobbed while they read the book together (he still turned the pages for her) and he sobbed while seeking comfort from the familiar Monkey that laid in his crib. He handled it pretty well, and so did we. We weren't too worried and enjoyed a relaxing evening at the movie theater. Whew.
