Friends

(Korbin LOVED his paper hat that we got at a local restaurant.
He played with that hat for days... until it finally ripped beyond repair.
Also, he is still wearing the eye patch for a few hours a day trying
to correct a lazy eye...)



This past weekend we had a little party to celebrate my birthday and our new home. My Dad grilled up some hot dogs and hamburgers out at Dick Nichol's Park (just a few minutes down the road from our apartment). Everyone enjoyed chatting in the shade, eating good food, being entertained by Korbin and playing Volleyball. We had friends come from Corpus, Orange Grove, San Antonio, Kyle and Austin.

After the park we headed back to our little apartment for some Wii gaming and Skip-Bo. Everyone, except for Carilee, went home around midnight. Carilee spent the night and went home after delicious Austin's Pizza on Sunday.

This Saturday I'll be attending a Teacher Job Fair for the Austin ISD. I've been spending a lot of time preparing my resume and getting all the paperwork together. On Monday I applied for a position at Lake Travis ISD. The application took me 2.5 hours to complete! It was 23 pages online! Geez.

I've also started studying for my TExES Art EC-12 test. I am signed up to take this 5 hour test on June 21st! (I hate long tests... I just can't sit still that long!)

Oh, and for those of you who like referring to me as a "hippie"... I am going to a Mother Earth Festival on Friday! What do you have to say about that! I'll probably be wearing my awesome Birkenstocks (and not be the only one for once)! haha
