Working Girls

Busy last few days...

I had THREE interviews today and one call-back from a job (that I had to turn down because it was only 20 hours per week). All three interviews went great. The first one complimented my portfolio and told me that I was over- qualified for the job! Awesome (great confidence boost before I went to the other two). The second one was for a freelance photography and design position. I would be taking photos for a home-builder and creating brochures for their luxury homes. This would be a really fun job that pays great (and I'd work from home except for the days I would be doing my photo shoots) (I hope I get this position). The third interview was a second interview. They want to know when I can start! haha. It's a Realtor company that is hiring me to do their flyers, post cards and other promotional materials. It's a part-time job. I'll call them tomorrow to tell them that I can start on August 18th (not terribly excited about this job... but it works in my schedule and it's something I know I can do). I am still waiting to hear back on a few other positions (full-time ones that would be great "careers").

Ryan and I have been looking for a great daycare! We've had a chance to check out two in the area. Several of them are booked up for his age group... so we are limited. The first one we went to was great and offers part-time care (some don't). We think that Korbin will benefit from the social environment. We predict his language skills to pick up very fast. :)

We are selling our house! We are going back and forth with the Realtor trying to get all the paperwork signed and finished! We should be homeless by early next week! Thank goodness!

We are going to Michigan for my sister's wedding. Korbin and I leave early tomorrow morning and Ryan will join us on Thursday night. My sister is getting married at a resort off of Lake Michigan on Saturday. Should be fun and cool (weather-wise).

Ryan, Korbin and I had a great time at the Austin Zoo last Sunday. Check out the photos by clicking on the Flickr link to the right. We all enjoyed the tigers and monkeys the most. We'll have to go again when the weather is cooler (Korbin was sweating buckets!).
