Texas Kid

On August 18th, my brother and his family arrived at their destination - Killeen, Texas. They drove from Baltimore to Killeen over the weekend and began their house hunting almost immediately. My brother, Captain Morgan (for now), will probably be stationed there for 3 years (spending some of that time in Iraq).

Now, all of my siblings are here in Texas (we haven't all lived in the same state since 1994, when my brother left for college). All of the cousins are within 1.5 hours of each other. This year, holidays will be much easier and cheaper! No plane tickets! Whew. :)

We had a fun week hanging out with the new Texans. We babysat Katrina on Wednesday so that Scott and Beth could look at several houses. Katrina and Korbin had a great time playing together. We went to the park and spent the afternoon at the apartment. Korbin had to learn how to share his toys... something that he didn't really enjoy doing. :)

On Saturday, Beth, Katrina, Korbin and I went to a Playnasium in Round Rock. Ryan and Scott had work to do... so they kicked us out. We spent some time playing in the bounce houses and then went to the outlet mall to kill some more time. Korbin was EXHAUSTED, and so was I!

Saturday night I had a much needed Girl's Night Out. I organized it a few weeks ago and didn't get a lot of positive feedback. So, eventhough I was tired and didn't really want to go... I grabbed the car keys and headed down to Opal Divine's. Glad I did... I had a great time hanging out with some of the CafeMom's that I haven't seen in a while. It was nice chatting and drinking a beer. We were out till 1am! Geez.

This week I have two second interviews. Cross your fingers for me! (I've had 6 interviews in the past 2 weeks! Crazy)
