Happy Valentine's Day!
Korbin had a great first week at his new school. He was very happy (see previous posts) and even performed for everyone on Friday! They had a pizza party to celebrate Valentine's Day and to say good-bye to one of the teachers. After eating the center of his pizza slice (I think he's going to patent that) he stood up and sang to everyone in the class. The teacher tells us that everyone turned around in their chair and watched him as he continued his melody... Oh boy!
I'm happy that he's happy and comfortable at his new school. It's a much better way to start off my morning and end my work day.
Also, he is getting better and better with his words! And, now he is starting to recognize colors, too (red and blue are the two tha he points out the most)! He also repeated all 26 letters of the alphabet with Ryan. He did great until we got to "double-u". He had a hard time with that... we even tried "dub-ya". haha
Today, we went to Half Price Books and bought Korbin 8 new books! He was soooo excited. He kept running around putting books in our basket. It was pretty funny. He read most of them on the way home...
Performing and reading... two things that Mommy and Daddy don't do much of... he is going to expose us to a whole new world (more so than he already has!). :) I can't wait.

LOL. I love it!
Haha! I hope I get to hear him sing in person one of these darn days. He sounds like a real ham! Too cute. I'm interested to see how the Montessori thing goes.. It seems like a great way to teach kids (Pete and I were just reading about it today, even!) and it seems like a way to grow a smart little critical thinker. Some of the schools even go up through middle school or high school, I think.
That boy will bring out talents you didn't know you had. What fun you'll have. Nonna
