Busy Bodies

Korbin and I are adjusting to our new life in Austin, Texas. With so much to do and see we are constantly trying something new. My current goal is to work on Korbin's social skills. We are looking for other kids for him to interact with and learn manners.

Monday: Stayed inside. The weather sucked. We went out to dinner with Grandpa at Logan's.

Tuesday: Daddy came home for lunch. We met some moms from CafeMom at Dick Nichol's Park (just 10 minutes down the road). Korbin played with some of the kids (they were a little older) until it was nap time and he started getting really cranky.

Wednesday: We went to story time at Book People downtown (6th street and Lamar). Korbin made it through one book and then was up and about playing with everything in the store. The good news was that he wasn't the only kid that was restless. After hanging out in the book store for about 45 minutes (it had tons of kid stuff) we walked over to Whole Foods and drove home for a much needed nap (he was falling asleep in the car). That night we went over to Grandpa's house for dinner.

Thursday: We went to a free Art Class downtown (also on Lamar). Korbin was the youngest one there. He enjoyed watching the other kids and scribbled a little with some crayons. He lasted about 20 minutes and then started getting restless and checking everything out in the room (lots of stuff like glue and tiny craft things). We wanted to go to Bubble Bonanza at the apartment complex, but it was canceled due to the weather. :(

Friday: Maybe we'll just keep it low key. Have lunch with Daddy and Granpa. Do laundry and clean up a little.

Saturday: Lunch with some of the mom's I met on CafeMom at Austin's Pizza (maybe).

Plans for Next Week:
Monday: Austin Children's Museum (special thing for 3 and under on Mondays)
Lunch with the CafeMom crew
Tuesday: Amy & Aiden fly in and will be in Austin till March 20th!!!
