King Pin

Man, I wish I had my camera with me, yesterday. I pulled up to the bowling alley parking lot and just about kicked myself for forgetting it! I knew this was going to be adorable!

Korbin and I met up with some other FRUA (Families for Russian and Ukrainian Adoptions) moms at a local bowling alley. We met a few moms with children from India, too. Korbin was the youngest, but that didn't hold him back.

He was so anxious to start! Then, when he saw that he got special shoes for this activity, his face lit up and he was in love. haha. He bowled with the orange 6 lb ball and bumpers. I helped him the first time and after that he didn't want me to go up to the line with him. He carried the ball with both hands, set it down gently and then pushed as hard as he could. So cute! One time the ball didn't make it to the end. And, one time he turned and asked if he could kick the ball. haha.

So, the only down side of bowling was waiting his turn. Man, that drove him nuts. He kept getting in everyone's way cause he didn't want to miss his turn! He didn't have a lot of patience (which is fairly unusual for him, but not a 3-year-old).

Bowling was a success. If you ever take a 3-year-old bowling make sure there is a short queue, bumpers and - most important - fancy bowling shoes!

Hi Ellen! I saw your comment on my blog. Glad to see you and your son are doing so well. We just can't wait to pick our daughter in a few months! You're right, adoption is such a WONDERFUL thing!
