Elements of Surprise

Korbin and I made a quick trip to Chicago to surprise Amy (Auntie M) at her baby shower. Thanks to Nonna, Beth and Toby the plan worked out perfectly. Amy (who's 9 months pregnant) had no idea we were on our way!

We had a nice stay in Chicago (2 nights). It was Korbin's first time sleeping away from our house since we brought him home in September. He did very well. He had to sleep in Amy's room since all the other rooms were taken (and Korbin needs his 16 hours of sleep per day!).

There were 7 adults sleeping in a 2 bedroom apartment (with one bathroom). Amy, Toby, Beth, Scott, Nonna, Sophia and I. Also, we had Korbin and Katrina running around. Somehow we made it work.

The baby shower was great. Everyone had a great time.

Now the wait begins... it could be any day that little Aiden Shawn is born!
Korbin and I are flying up on the 25th of January to help out with the new little guy (and hope to be there for the birth).

Ryan, Korbin and I made a quick trip to San Antonio this past weekend, too. Korbin slept in the car (thank goodness) and enjoyed exploring and meeting new people. But, he was glad to be home on Sunday night. No more trips for a while... please! :)
