Getting Ready

This afternoon I finished making some tiger-stripped pillows for the nursery and decided that I would post pictures of the room. I've been working really hard on this "zoo-themed" baby room. We are only missing a bed (crib or toddler bed), dresser, clothes and a few baby items. Three walls are khaki and one wall is a soft orange color. Two windows in the room.

We want to have realistic animals in the room (not the pastel colored cute ones that are on a lot of baby stuff). We (actually me) chose browns, oranges and a few splashes of green. Once we know the sex of the baby we might add a few more accents that are more "girlie" or "boyish".

The closet door is covered in pieces of black vinyl to look like zebra stripes. I did that myself, thanks to my vinyl application training at the sign shop! haha

The animal poster is something I made after Ryan and I's last visit to the Fort Worth Zoo.

Other items: "Monkey mother with baby" statue, giraffe on swing (hanging from ceiling), metal camel hooks, leopard metallic print, soft monkey chair, butterfly mobile (from ceiling), exotic stuffed animals, brown art table, giant zoo poster, picture frame to hold memories from Russia, tiger pillows, bright orange pillows....

I hope our son/daughter likes it... and I hope he, or she, hurries up! :)

Still no call...

(Too many pictures in this blog...)
