Time flies when you are having fun... or something like that.

So, I still am having trouble realizing that it is October (and it's October 6th). Time is just flashing by my eyes and I think that it'll be Christmas tomorrow!

Work has been super crazy. We are short two designers (one on maternity leave and one that was let go last week). We are all working our tails off. The work day goes by fast - which is usually not a bad thing. Also, news about work - I got promoted! Yeah! So, I am going from doing just ads to being the Lead Designer of the largest publication we have, Round Rock/Pflugerville edition (64 pages - monthly). Wow. I mostly flattered and a little nervous (or is it the other way around). My manager said they have complete confidence in me to handle this large beast (the designers tell horror stories about it all the time). But, with basically a new staff on that paper we hope to control it and not get any more gray hairs. I start working on that paper in late November.

Korbin has been doing great. His vocabulary improves every day. He is still a very happy and easy going child. He seems to listen well and want to make everyone happy. Funny story: Today there was a girl crying at the grocery store. The mother said something quietly to the girl, but the girl did not stop crying. Korbin looked at me and said "Mommy, I listening. She not listening." Cute.

Korbin is still in 12 month-sized shorts. Now, with long-pants-season coming up we are struggling to find tall & skinny pants! He is constantly pulling up his 2T size pants, exposing his ankles. I need to find little suspenders or belts!

Potty training went well. Yeah, "went". And, maybe I should use the word AMAZING instead of well. I'm so proud of him for doing that in such a short amount of time. One lady at work said it took both her daughters around 7 months each! Geez. I don't think I have that much patience - and I guess neither does Korbin. He goes #1 and #2 in the potty, sleeps in regular underwear and even uses public restrooms. Done and done. YES. Amazing.

Korbin still loves fruits and veggies more than any other food. Hot dogs, cheese and juice are usually requested as well.
